Job summary

Nexera Solutions Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to own tenders from enquiry to handover. You will prepare accurate estimates for electrical contracts ranging from $3 million to $15 million and work with Directors, Operations Managers and Project teams.

You will review drawings, prepare take-offs and tender submissions, issue subcontractor packages, obtain quotations, raise RFIs, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Proactivity and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated electrical estimating experience for projects valued between $3 million and $15 million.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to determine complete scope.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation to determine the complete project scope.
• Preparing detailed take offs, cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Preparing and issuing subcontractor and supplier tender packages.
• Obtaining, following up and comparing quotations to ensure complete scope coverage and competitive pricing.
• Raising RFIs and clarifying discrepancies, exclusions and project requirements.
• Identifying alternative materials, installation methods and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintaining accurate estimating records and tender information in Simpro.
• Managing submission deadlines and following up tenders with clients, builders and construction managers.
• Providing thorough project handovers, including pricing, scope, drawings, quotations and identified risks.
• Supporting subcontractor selection, procurement and project kick-off activities.
• Supporting compliance with company safety, quality and environmental requirements.
