Bluefin Resources Pty is seeking a Director of Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance to lead a strategic function across internal audit, enterprise risk and compliance in a complex Queensland organisation.

This senior role involves guiding executive leadership and the Audit and Risk Committee, building governance maturity, and developing a small team to deliver assurance and effective risk management.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in internal audit, risk and governance.
• Government sector experience is highly regarded.
• Senior leadership ability to influence executives and Audit & Risk Committees.
• Professional qualification (CIA/CA/CPA) is essential.
• Experience overseeing internal audit programs and co-sourced arrangements.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Lead the internal audit function, annual audit program, co-sourced arrangements and QA.
• Provide independent strategic advice to executive leadership and the Audit and Risk Committee.
• Oversee enterprise risk management, compliance and governance frameworks.
• Lead and develop a small team, fostering a proactive culture.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Oversee audit findings, remediation activities and governance reporting.
