Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty is seeking a Director of Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance in Queensland to lead internal audit, enterprise risk and compliance. This strategic role reports to executive leadership and supports the Audit and Risk Committee.

You will build and develop a small team, oversee assurance frameworks, and drive governance improvements across a complex, highly regulated environment. Experience in government or large commercial organizations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading internal audit, risk and governance functions.
• Proven senior leadership with ability to influence executives and committees.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management and regulatory governance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit function, annual program, co-sourced arrangements, QA.
• Provide strategic advice to executive leadership and Audit & Risk Committee.
• Oversee enterprise risk management, compliance and governance frameworks.
• Lead and develop a small team with a proactive culture.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders to strengthen accountability.
• Oversee audit findings, remediation activities, and governance reporting.
