Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced APS6 Design Strategist to support a high-profile Australian Government agency in Surry Hills, NSW. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, 37.5 hours per week, and a competitive pay rate.

As an APS6-level Design Strategist, you will lead strategic projects, develop governance and reporting, conduct complex research, prepare executive materials, and engage senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for Australians.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy, policy, program or project management.
• Strong analytical and research skills for evidence-based recommendations.
• Exceptional written communication for executive documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects from planning through delivery.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, governance and reporting.
• Conduct complex research and analysis to inform decisions.
• Prepare executive briefs, business cases and corporate documentation.
• Identify, assess and manage risks, issues and opportunities.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Support policy development, workforce planning and organisational improvement.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to procurement, contract management and QA activities.
