Job summary

Chandler Macleod is recruiting for an experienced Design Strategist to join a high-performing government team based in Surry Hills, NSW. This APS6 role offers a 12-month contract, with a pay rate of $60.26 per hour plus super, and a focus on policy, strategy and stakeholder engagement.

As an APS6 Design Strategist, you will lead complex strategic and policy work, provide expert advice, develop project plans, conduct research, and contribute to workforce planning and organisational initiatives in

Qualifications

Experience in strategy, policy, program or project management environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex information.
Excellent written communication for executive and policy documentation.
Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
Autonomous work style with sound judgement and prioritisation.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, governance activities and reporting.
Conduct research and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Prepare executive briefs, business cases, reports and policy documents.
Coordinate project reporting, status updates and exception reporting.
Monitor budgets, expenditure, procurement and contract management processes.
Identify and manage project risks, issues and benefits.
Provide specialist advice and collaborate with stakeholders.
Support policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
