Job summary

Wilderness School invites applications for a Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching to provide strategic, whole‑school leadership of learning and teaching across R–12. Reporting to the Principal, you will shape curriculum, strengthen teacher capability and use data to drive improvement in student learning.

As a member of the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, you will oversee timetable design, workforce planning and staff leadership, while deputising for the Principal as required and

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading school-wide learning and teaching initiatives.
• Ability to analyse learning data to drive improvement.
• Track record in curriculum, assessment and pedagogy development.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead the strategic direction of curriculum, learning and teaching across R–12.
• Lead Heads of Faculty to strengthen curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and student learning.
• Use data to identify priorities and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead professional learning to build teacher and leader capability.
• Oversee whole-school timetable planning and deployment.
• Recruitment, deployment and performance management of teaching staff.
• Deputise for the Principal as required.
