Job summary

Port Kennedy Primary School in Western Australia is recruiting for a Deputy Principal to provide dynamic, strategic leadership in curriculum delivery, staff development and student wellbeing. The role supports school-wide improvement, collaborates with phase leaders, and drives data-informed decisions to maximise learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher registered with the WA Teacher Registration Board.
  • Ability to obtain Working With Children Check before start.
  • Eligibility: Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident with valid work rights and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum implementation and improve teaching practices to lift student outcomes.
  • Support staff development and provide differentiated coaching to teachers.
  • Collaborate with phase-of-learning leaders to drive school-wide improvement.
  • Coordinate case management, attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing supports.
  • Oversee data-informed monitoring and interventions to maximise learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to school events planning and delivery.
  • Ensure delivery of the school Business Plan through data analysis.
