Job summary

Wilderness School is seeking an outstanding educational leader to provide strategic, whole-school leadership of learning and teaching across R–12. Reporting to the Principal and as a member of the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, the Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching will drive high-quality teaching, curriculum and assessment across the school.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold appropriate academic qualifications and maintain registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead the strategic direction of curriculum, learning and teaching across R–12.
• Lead Heads of Faculty to strengthen curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and student learning.
• Use internal and external data to identify priorities and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead professional learning and collaboration to build the capability of teachers and leaders.
• Oversee the construction and strategic management of the whole-school R–12 timetable.
• Lead teaching workforce planning, recruitment, deployment and performance.
• Contribute to whole-school strategy and decision-making as a member of the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams.
• Deputise for the Principal as required.
