Job summary

PPD Search is seeking a Demand Planning & Inventory Specialist in Sydney to forecast product demands, optimise stock levels, and support sales and customer service.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams to incorporate promotions, tenders and new launches into forecasts, manage safety stock, and minimize supply interruptions while maintaining cash flow and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field.
• Experience in demand planning/forecasting/purchasing in medical consumables.
• Solid understanding of inventory management and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and forecast future product demands to optimise inventory.
• Develop and review demand forecasts using historical data and market trends.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing and customer service for promotions and launches.
• Monitor forecast accuracy; adjust methods to improve planning.
• Identify supply risks and coordinate expediting or alternatives when needed.
• Provide stock availability updates to sales and customer service.
• Align incoming stock with warehouse capacity and logistics priorities.
• Review holdings to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and plan reductions.
