Job summary

SPA Australia is seeking a motivated Analyst to support workforce planning, training analysis, and performance improvement for Defence capability development in Canberra. You will work with Defence, government, and industry partners to produce high-quality analyses, briefings, and recommendations for senior decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or 5 years’ Navy operations and training experience.
• Experience in Defence, government, consulting, or other complex operational environments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; interacts with senior leaders.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support workforce planning, modelling, and organisational design for Defence outcomes.
• Analyse training systems and workforce readiness to identify risks and improvements.
• Collect, analyse and interpret qualitative/quantitative data for recommendations.
• Develop executive briefs, reports, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement across Defence, government, and industry.
• Contribute to design and implementation of workforce and training solutions.
• Support project planning, risk management, and delivery in a complex environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, locally and internationally, to achieve outcomes.
