Job summary

Department of Defence in Canberra seeks a skilled intelligence professional to integrate intelligence and research to assess risks to Defence capability, resilience, and preparedness. You will work within a blended multidisciplinary team tackling national security and capability challenges.

The role supports Defence’s future capability delivery and warfighter support, with autonomy in complex decision-making and emphasis on critical thinking and professional judgement.

Job description

Working within a highly secure environment, the role integrates intelligence, research and information from multiple sources to assess emerging risks, vulnerabilities, and issues that may affect Defence capability, resilience, and preparedness.

Key responsibilities

• Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the successful applicant will apply intelligence tradecraft, critical thinking and professional judgement to complex and often ambiguous challenges.
