Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide end-to-end procurement support across projects, business lines and corporate functions. You will develop sourcing plans, manage supplier relationships and advise on commercial terms to ensure value for money and compliance.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will lead tender evaluations, contract administration and supplier engagement while supporting continuous improvement across procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting procurement activities within Defence, engineering, construction or complex project environments.
• Understanding of Australian contract law and commercial contracting principles.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships.
• Experience preparing and administering purchase orders, subcontracts and supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of contemporary procurement methodologies, supply chain practices and risk management.
• Experience procuring from international suppliers and working with INCOTERMS.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Procurement or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end procurement support across Saab's projects, business lines and corporate functions.
• Develop and implement procurement plans and sourcing strategies.
• Undertake market analysis, tender evaluations and supplier selection activities.
• Negotiate and administer supplier agreements, contracts and purchase orders.
• Provide procurement advice to project teams and key stakeholders.
• Manage supplier relationships and support supplier performance outcomes.
• Contribute to procurement governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
