Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Procurement Officer to support procurement across defence projects and corporate functions. You will help develop sourcing strategies, manage tenders, contracts and supplier relations to deliver value and mitigate risk.

Ideal candidates bring experience in defence or complex programs, knowledge of INCOTERMS, and qualifications in Commerce or related fields. Hybrid work arrangements are considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting procurement activities within Defence, engineering, construction or complex project environments.
• Understanding of Australian contract law and commercial contracting principles.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships.
• Knowledge of contemporary procurement methodologies, supply chain practices and risk management.
• Experience procuring from international suppliers and working with INCOTERMS.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Procurement or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and timely procurement support across Saab's projects, business lines and corporate functions.
• Support end-to-end procurement activities, including strategy development and sourcing.
• Conduct tender evaluations, contract administration and supplier engagement.
• Advise project teams and stakeholders on procurement options and risk.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance outcomes.
• Contribute to procurement governance and continuous improvement.
