Job summary

City of Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Information & Data Architect to lead evolution of information governance and enterprise decision-making across one of Australia’s largest local governments.

As Information & Data Architect, you will provide strategic leadership across enterprise information and data domains, establishing governance practices, standards and architecture to support a modern, data-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in information architecture, data governance, enterprise data management and analytics enablement.
• Demonstrated ability to align information and data capabilities with business strategy and outcomes.
• Strong understanding of information lifecycle management, data quality, master data management and enterprise reporting.
• Experience developing and governing enterprise information models, data domains, glossaries, and data models.
• Extensive experience with architecture metamodels and governance practices.
• Proven use of EA platforms such as OrbusInfinity, LeanIX, ADOIT, Mega, Sparx EA or similar.
• Stakeholder engagement across technical, operational and executive audiences.
• Experience in mature EA practices including standards development and strategic planning.
• Knowledge of TOGAF and ITIL frameworks; practitioner certs highly regarded.
• Professional certifications in information management, data governance, architecture or security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise information and data architecture frameworks, standards and roadmaps.
• Drive enterprise information governance, data governance and architecture assurance practices.
• Establish and promote authoritative data sources, information ownership and enterprise-wide information standards.
• Guide strategic decisions on data platforms, analytics, information management and AI-enabled solutions.
• Support business initiatives through trusted, well-governed information assets.
• Contribute to architecture governance, technology investment decisions and long-term capability planning.
• Collaborate across teams to improve data quality, accessibility and decision-making.
• Influence privacy, information security, records management and compliance.
