Job summary

Ogilvy in Sydney is seeking a Corporate Publicist to support a major new client on a 12-month contract. You will execute strategic communications campaigns, manage media relations, and develop content across thought leadership and stakeholder materials.

The role requires strong Australian media knowledge, ability to handle complex or regulated environments, and collaboration with a team of communications consultants to deliver outcomes with earned influence.

Qualifications

• Experience with large organisations or corporate brands.
• Proven ability to manage corporate communications and media relations.
• Exceptional writing skills across multiple formats.

Responsibilities

• Identify journalists and outlets, build media lists and pitches.
• Develop tailored media strategies and arrange interview opportunities.
• Liaise with media contacts for corporate affairs and infrastructure topics.
• Monitor media trends and advise on reputational risks and opportunities.
• Draft releases, alerts, op-eds and stakeholder communications.
• Translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives.
• Support client and senior team with meetings, agendas and reports.
• Coordinate media briefings, interviews and stakeholder events.
