Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in media and communications.
• Proven ability to write engaging media releases, speeches and notes.
• Strong news judgment and strategic advisory skills for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Drive Council’s media strategy and elevate its profile.
• Manage complex media enquiries and provide strategic advice to senior leaders.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing media team and build stakeholder relations.
• Represent Council at public functions and manage communication responses.
