Job summary

Transport For NSW is seeking a Senior Manager Commercial on a fixed-term basis to lead commercial and risk performance on the Parramatta Light Rail 2A project, shaping contract strategy, governance and value-for-money outcomes.

The role focuses on finalising procurement, embedding a Commercial Management Framework, and providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders while managing disputes, insurance, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and risk management with contract strategy, negotiations, probity, tenders, variations, and claims.
• Drive a proactive risk management culture by implementing dispute prevention and resolution strategies that minimise claims, cost overruns and disputes.
• Oversee legal and commercial advisors and contract administration frameworks to strengthen governance, commercial outcomes and effective contract management.
• Provide commercial leadership on complex, sensitive, high-risk issues, delivering pragmatic solutions and value-for-money outcomes.
• Build collaborative relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders, fostering a high-performance culture and fair contracting.
