In this role, you'll:
Reporting to Director Commercial & Controls (Major Projects), the Senior Manager Commercial will lead commercial and risk performance on the Parramatta Light Rail 2A project, ensuring organisational interests are protected through effective risk allocation and the implementation of robust, forward-looking contract management practices.. Working closely with stakeholders, the Senior Manager Commercial will initially support the finalisation of the procurement of this project supporting commercially sound sourcing decisions, reducing project risk exposure, and achieving value-for-money outcomes. The role will then transition into supporting the delivery of the project by developing and embedding a Commercial Management Framework that strengthens contract administration, enhances commercial outcomes, and promotes proactive management of key risks, including disputes, insurance, fraud, and corruption. The position also oversees the development of consistent tools, systems, and reporting processes to identify, assess, monitor, and communicate contract performance, risk and contingency utilisation, variations, claims, time extensions, and forecast contract costs, enabling informed decision-making and effective governance across the portfolio.

The role acts as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing strategic advice, responding to requests for information, and ensuring complex or sensitive matters are appropriately resolved or escalated.

The position represents the team's perspective in interactions with senior leaders and key stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and providing escalation support for complex issues and risks. Through proactive stakeholder engagement, you will maintain open communication channels, provide expert advice, resolve issues efficiently, and leverage industry knowledge and best practice insights to support the implementation of organisational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
