Job summary

Central Land Council in Alice Springs seeks a high-calibre Chief Financial Officer to lead financial stewardship, governance and assurance across our complex Commonwealth corporate NFP entity. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape financial direction with significant autonomy and influence.

You will oversee procurement, grants, asset management, audit, statutory reporting and risk, ensuring transparent, efficient financial management in support of Aboriginal communities across the region.

Qualifications

• Executive-level experience setting financial strategy in a complex organisation.
• Solid knowledge of governance, internal controls and statutory reporting.
• Experience with procurement, tenders, grants and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term financial direction and strategic investment priorities.
• Maintain governance policies and internal control frameworks.
• Direct procurement, tenders and grant processes with probity and value-for-money.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audits and remediation of findings.
• Manage asset registers and decommissioning of capital equipment.
• Develop Finance function and partner with Financial Controller.
• Contribute to enterprise planning, risk management and reporting.
• Support Aboriginal staff development and cross-unit financial literacy.
