Job summary

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to shape the University’s financial future through strategic planning, forecasting and high-impact analysis. You will join a collaborative finance team delivering insights that influence key decisions across the University.

This full-time ongoing role offers a base salary of AU$120,912–AU$132,161 per year plus 17% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Full professional membership of a recognised Australian accounting body.
• Extensive experience in financial planning for large organisations.
• Experience coordinating complex consolidated budgets and forecasts.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop the annual budget and regular reforecasting process with guidelines and detailed timetables.
• Use data to develop driver-based planning insights, what-if scenarios and long-term financial impact projections.
• Understand planning models, contribute to model changes, validate data across budgeting models and systems.
