Job summary

BMD Group is seeking an experienced Bid Lead to secure major infrastructure projects across NSW and the ACT. Within our pre-contracts team, you will lead bids from planning through submission, clarification and handover.

Bringing together estimating, engineering, commercial and delivery specialists, you will develop competitive and deliverable solutions across transport, water, renewables and Defence. You will require strong civil infrastructure knowledge and a proven ability to lead bids from

Qualifications

• You are an experienced bid, pre-contracts or project delivery professional with strong civil infrastructure knowledge.
• You may be a Bid Lead or Pre-Contracts Manager, or a Project Director or Senior Project Manager who has led a major bid from inception through to award and delivery.
• You will bring experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil infrastructure contractor.
• You will have a strong knowledge of bid management, governance and approvals.
• You will have a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders.
• You will have sound construction, programming, estimating and commercial knowledge.
• You will possess excellent written communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead expressions of interest, tenders and proposals.
• Develop bid strategies, win themes and value propositions.
• Establish bid programmes, governance and review milestones.
• Coordinate estimating, engineering, commercial and delivery teams.
• Manage compliance, risks, approvals and submission deadlines.
• Facilitate strategy workshops, reviews and client presentations.
• Maintain alignment between solution, programme, risk and price.
• Support tender clarifications and handover to delivery teams.
