Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking an exceptional Manager Assets to lead the strategic planning, management and delivery of a diverse assets portfolio worth billions. You’ll guide a ~55-strong team, oversee a $42M operating budget and a $66M capital program, and influence the city’s growth trajectory through infrastructure and assets.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated success leading large and diverse teams.
• Significant experience in asset management, infrastructure planning and capital delivery.
• Strong understanding of contemporary asset management practices and frameworks.
• Experience aligning asset management planning with long-term financial sustainability.
• Proven ability to influence outcomes through collaboration, stakeholder engagement and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, management and delivery of a diverse portfolio of community and infrastructure assets worth billions of dollars.
• Head a team of approximately 55 professionals and manage an operating budget of around $42 million.
• Oversee the delivery of a capital program of approximately $66 million.
• Contribute to organisation-wide decision making as part of Council's Leadership Team.
• Shape the long-term future of the city through infrastructure and asset stewardship.
