Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking an experienced Manager Fleet and Facilities to lead a diverse team responsible for the management, maintenance and improvement of fleet, facilities and community assets in Rockhampton.

The role reports to the General Manager Organisational Services and forms part of the Wider Leadership Team, delivering strategic asset management and capital programs with a whole-of-life focus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or related discipline, with asset, fleet or facilities management experience.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and staff development.
• Strong asset lifecycle planning, strategic planning and capital project delivery.
• Experience in budget management and financial/operational planning to deliver outcomes.
• Stakeholder engagement, negotiation and change management in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of asset management strategies.
• Oversee facilities and fleet performance and budgets.
• Provide expert advice to Council, senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Drive strategic asset management practices and capital improvement programs.
• Ensure whole-of-life asset management for community assets.
