Job summary

Sulzer Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the local accounting teams in Australia, ensuring alignment with global standards and robust financial control.

The role focuses on PTP, OTC and RTR processes, month-end close, and intercompany transactions. You will manage audits, ensure timely statutory filings, and collaborate with Group Tax and CoE Accounting to optimize payables and reporting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualifications in Finance/Accounting.
• Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
• At least 5 years of experience leading Accounting teams.
• Experience within the manufacturing or industrial sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency in coordination and planning of work for assigned Accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of OTC and PTP processes, as well as general accounting principles and financial reporting; RTR is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for delivering key insights to senior leadership.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounting team to ensure high performance and cohesion.
• Oversee accounting processes for Australia including month end reporting and intercompany transactions.
• Manage internal and external audits and obtain assurance sign-off.
• Ensure on-time filing of statutory financial statements and tax submissions.
• Collaborate with CoE Accounting on payables management and approve payments.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements in accounting processes.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and DXC BPO to streamline end-to-end processes.
• Provide timely financial reporting to senior management.
