Job summary

Willis Towers Watson in Australia seeks a senior finance professional to lead statutory reporting for Australian entities, oversee month-end processes, and coordinate with external auditors within a hybrid Melbourne setup.

You will partner with Group Technical Accounting, tax governance and sustainability reporting teams to deliver robust financial outcomes and drive finance transformation across R2R.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification required.
• 5+ years in external reporting, financial controllership or audit.
• Strong knowledge of AASB, IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience managing external audits and complex reporting processes.
• Ability to interpret accounting standards and advise on transactions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements for Australian entities.
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end reporting, balance sheet governance and group submissions.
• Manage external audit engagements and liaison with auditors.
• Assess technical accounting implications of acquisitions, restructures and entity rationalisations.
• Provide oversight of Australian income tax compliance and governance.
• Lead climate-related reporting and sustainability disclosure activities.
• Monitor developments in accounting and regulatory changes and provide guidance.
• Strengthen internal controls and reporting frameworks for compliance and risk.
• Drive finance transformation, process improvement and automation in Record-to-Report.
