Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is seeking a reliable Storeperson for our Melbourne Airport hospitality team. You will manage inward/outward dispatch, stock rotation, and maintain safe, clean cold rooms.

The role requires experience in stores/warehousing, a Food Safety Certificate, and basic computer skills, with forklift preferred and early shifts starting at 6:00am.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores or warehousing environments.
• Food Safety Certificate or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Manage inward and outward dispatch of goods with temperature testing and quality control.
• Oversee stock rotation and stock accuracy.
• Ensure cleanliness of all cool rooms and stores areas.
• Maintain stock security and compliance with store procedures.
• Match delivery invoices to purchase orders and flag discrepancies.

The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is seeking a reliable and hands‑on Storeperson to join our hospitality team at Melbourne Airport. As a Storeperson, you’ll play a key role in supporting our food and beverage outlets by ensuring stock is received, stored, and distributed efficiently and safely. This is a manual handling role that involves working in cool rooms and using a walkie stacker.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in food and beverage, hospitality, or kitchen operations who understands the importance of stock control, cleanliness, and maintaining HACCP and Food Safety standards, rather than a traditional logistics or warehouse environment. Availability to work early morning weekday shifts, starting at 6:00am is essential.

What will you do?

• Manage the inward and outward dispatch of goods including temperature testing and quality control
• Oversee stock rotation and accurate stock control
• Ensure cleanliness of all cool rooms and associated stores areas
• Uphold tight security of all stock by ensuring compliance of all store procedures by operational departments
• Match delivery invoices to purchase orders, highlighting any discrepancies

More About You

• Experience within a stores or warehousing environment
• Food Safety Certificate
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Forklift Licence preferred, but not required
• Ability to work a variety of weekday shifts, starting at 6:00am
