Job summary

dnata catering in Melbourne is seeking a full-time Stores Person to manage warehouse inventory and ensure efficient operations supporting inflight catering services.

You will receive, inspect, label, and organize stock, operate forklifts (high reach preferred) and pallet jacks, and coordinate orders with suppliers while maintaining safety and compliance with HACCP and related quality standards. Weekend availability and a strong teamwork mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Full ongoing working rights in Australia.
• Current forklift licence (high reach preferred) and experience with pallet jacks.
• Experience in warehouse operations, including stock handling and storage.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Availability to work shifts (including weekends and public holidays).
• Good communication and basic numeracy skills for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting incoming products, ensuring quality and quantity meet our standards.
• Unpacking, labeling, and organizing stock while maintaining a clean, safe warehouse.
• Safely operating forklifts and manual handling devices.
• Managing orders and liaising with suppliers to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Performing administrative tasks and manual stock takes.
• Follow all food safety, safety, and hygiene policies, including HACCP, IFSA, and QSAI standards.
• Willingness to assist in other operational areas as needed.

A day in the life of a Stores Person

Join our Melbourne team as a full-time Stores Person and be responsible for managing inventory and ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your work behind the scenes helps create a smooth in-flight dining experience for thousands of passengers every day. Your key responsibilities include:

• Receiving and inspecting incoming products, ensuring quality and quantity meet our standards.
