Job summary

Special Piping Materials Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Storeperson to manage inbound and outbound goods, inventory, and daily warehouse operations. The role emphasizes safe handling, accurate stock control, and adherence to company policies while maintaining a clean and organized site.

The ideal candidate will hold a current Australian forklift licence, a valid driver’s licence, and demonstrate experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a strong focus on safety and PPE

Qualifications

• Experience as a warehouse operator or similar role.
• Familiarity with stock control and inventory processes.
• Understanding of HSEQ standards and safe handling of goods.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and manual handling equipment safely.
• Receive, inspect and store goods according to procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular cycle counts.

Job description

• Work to standard operating procedures in line with company policy.
• Deal with inbound vehicles following the correct company procedure
• Ensure safe handling, storage & repacking of all products in line with stock locations, rotation and company policies.
• High level of care and accuracy with pick operations.
• Inspection of incoming materials in line with company procedures.
• Load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner and highlight all errors and damages prior to completion.
• Where relevant, Delivery Driver duties/driving of a company vehicle (dependent on experience/insurance)
• Maintain high standards of site house-keeping.
• To ensure FLT’s are checked daily, recorded on relevant sheets and defects reported.
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the relevant person immediately.
• Assist with inventory counting when necessary.
• Support Warehouse Expediting/Logistics where necessary.
• Work with relevant staff to ensure any Non Conformances relating to the Warehouse are processed and closed out in a timely manner.
• Work with QA/QC Officer to review opportunities for improvement identified and implement changes and improvements to the processes and systems.
• Responsible for ensuring correct storage of substances and equipment and maintaining suitable records where necessary
• Responsible for overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment as required.
• Responsible for ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely
• Responsible for ensuring all people in the Warehouse are wearing the correct PPE
• To action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business
• Any other reasonable duties as allocated by Management.
