Job description

We are seeking a reliable, organised, and hands‑on Storeperson / Storeman to join our growing solar team. You will be responsible for managing warehouse stock, preparing materials for solar installation jobs, receiving deliveries, and coordinating stock pickups and deliveries across Townsvilleand surrounds.

Key responsibilities

Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular stocktakes, and reconcile discrepancies.

Receive, inspect, record, and store solar equipment, including panels, inverters, batteries, cables, and mounting systems.

Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and organise stock.

Ensure correct labelling, storage, and safe handling of solar components.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse.

Pick, pack, and allocate materials for upcoming installation jobs.

Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damaged goods, and replenishment requirements.

Pick up and deliver stock across Townsville, Cairns, Mackay, and surrounding regions.

Manage returned stock and unused materials from completed jobs.

Provide excellent customer service to customers, installers, subcontractors, suppliers, and management.

About you

Previous warehouse, storeperson, or inventory management experience.

Current forklift licence (LF)

Current driver's licence and a good driving record.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to undertake regular manual handling and heavy lifting safely.

Experience maintaining stock records.

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Reliable, proactive, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience in the solar, electrical, or construction industry will be highly regarded.
