Job summary

SMH Equipment in Townsville is seeking a reliable Storeperson to support our Townsville operations. This full-time role covers receiving, storing, picking and dispatching parts and consumables, and working with the Parts Team for accurate stock handling and timely availability.

You will assist with deliveries, yard maintenance and general site duties, while maintaining stock records and following WHS guidelines. Forklift licensing is beneficial but training can be provided.

Support critical parts and warehouse operations for heavy equipment in Townsville.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable Storeperson to support our Townsville operations. This full‑time role involves receiving, storing, picking and dispatching parts and consumables, while working closely with the Parts Team to ensure accurate stock handling and timely availability. The position also provides support across general site operations, including deliveries, collections and workshop support as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Operations: Receive, unload, check and store incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy against documentation and system receipting.

Order Processing: Pick, pack and dispatch parts and consumables accurately and on time to support internal and external customer requirements.

Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock records, support stock rotation, bin location accuracy and participate in stocktakes and inventory counts.

Workshop & Site Support: Assist with collection and delivery of parts, equipment and supplies, assist the Service Team as required, and support general site duties including yard maintenance and housekeeping activities.

Housekeeping & Organisation: Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment, including parts storage areas and shared workspaces.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all parts handling, storage and manual handling activities comply with WHS and company requirements.
