Job summary

EASTERN HEALTH is seeking a casual Storeperson to support warehousing operations at the Ringwood Distribution Centre. The role involves goods receipt, signing for arrivals, and entry into the Oracle warehouse system.

You will pick, pack and deliver supplies to wards, assist with cycle counts, and help maintain a clean storeroom and loading dock. Applicants should have prior store/warehouse experience, familiarity with barcode scanners, and current forklift and medium truck licenses.

Qualifications

• Previous store/warehouse experience is essential.
• Experience with barcode scanners and stock rotation preferable.
• Ability to operate manual handling equipment safely and follow SOPs.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (Oracle) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scan ward Imprest and receipting into the WMS (Oracle).
• Pick, pack and deliver items to wards/departments per picking slips.
• Assist with cycle counts and stocktaking.
• Maintain cleanliness of storeroom and loading dock.
• Provide relief cover for other storepersons as required.

About the role

• To accurately scan the ward Imprest.
• To receive incoming goods ensuring goods are signed for and the condition of goods recorded accurately on all inwards documentation. This included entering the receipt of goods into the warehouse management system (Oracle) for receipting purposes, following the Standard Operating Procedures.
• To Pick, Pack and deliver all items as per the picking slip or delivery documentation to wards and departments accurately and timely manner meeting the department SLA requirements, ensuring all deliveries are signed as per the department Standard Operating Procedure.
• To assist with Cycle Counts as per the department’s standard Operating Procedure.
• To maintain general cleanliness of storeroom and loading dock.
• Attend any meetings relevant to the Supply function, as requested.
• To provide relief cover in absence of other Store person across Eastern Health.
• You may be required to deliver goods to sites utilising internal vehicle.
• Where it is required, you may be enlisted to assist Departments and Wards in planning stores layout of Imprest goods.
• Utilisation of Forklift & Reach fork.

What you’ll bring

• Previous sound store and warehousing experience.
• Have sound experience in using Manual handling equipment. (EG: powered forklift equipment)
• Have sound computer literacy, use of previous warehouse management system, Microsoft Package.
• Be able to demonstrate experience of Goods receipting processing, including receipting into a warehouse management system.
• Have experience in the use of barcode scanners / readers
• Previous sound experience in Cycle counting / stocktaking
• Previous sound experience in store Housekeeping
• Previous sound experience in Pick / Pack and delivery processes
• Demonstrated understanding of customer service of internal and external customers, committed to effectively meeting their needs in a helpful and professional manner.
• Ability to work autonomously and be capable of adapting to moving around to various sites where required
• Must hold a current Victorian motor vehicle license, preferably Medium Truck License
• Must hold a Forklift License.
