Job summary

Morson Edge in Gosford, NSW, is seeking a Store Person to act as the linchpin between the supply chain and the workshop floor. You will ensure engineers have the right parts, when they need them, by picking, kitting and stocking components for various kit types and production lines.

You will read BOMs and parts lists, assemble kits, manage stock records, conduct regular stock takes and support the Store Supervisor with reorder alerts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, store, or kitting/picking role in manufacturing or automotive environments.
• Ability to read BOMs or parts lists and engineering drawings.
• High level of accuracy when picking and checking parts against part numbers, revision levels and quantity.
• Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory/stock management systems.
• Physically capable of manual handling, lifting, and repetitive picking tasks.
• Reliable, organised and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic schedule.
• Good communication with production teams, dealers and suppliers.
• Forklift and/or pallet truck licence is advantageous; familiarity with ERP/inventory systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Pick components against BOMs or kit lists for each kit type and variant.
• Assemble kits for production line builds, ensuring parts, fasteners, looms and ancillaries are present and correct.
• Assemble aftersales/warranty kits for the dealer network as instructed.
• Check picked components for correct part number, revision level, quantity and condition.
• Label, package and protect kitted parts for internal transfer or external freight.
• Receive incoming stock and reconcile against PO/delivery dockets; store in correct locations.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform stock movements and adjustments.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts; investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and flag shortages or reorders to Store Supervisor/Purchasing.
• Maintain clean, organised storage areas to support efficient picking.

You'll be helping build the future of zero-emission freight at an innovative clean-tech business transforming the heavy transport sector through electric vehicle technology.

Key responsibilities

• Pick components against bills of materials (BOMs) or kit lists for each kit type and variant
• Assemble kits for production line builds, ensuring all parts, fasteners, looms and ancillary items are present and correct
• Assemble aftersales/warranty kits for the dealer network, matching parts to the specific job, vehicle or fault as instructed
• Check picked components for correct part number, revision level, quantity and physical condition before kitting
• Label, package and protect kitted parts appropriately for internal transfer or external freight
• Receive incoming stock, check against purchase orders/delivery dockets, and put away in correct storage locations
• Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory system, including stock movements, kit consumption and adjustments
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts, and investigate and report discrepancies
• Monitor stock levels of kit components and flag shortages or reorder requirements to the Store Supervisor/Purchasing
• Maintain clean, organised and clearly labelled storage areas to support efficient picking

About you

• Experience in a warehouse, store, parts, or kitting/picking role, ideally in an automotive, manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to read and work from bills of materials (BOMs), parts lists or engineering drawings
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when picking and checking parts against part number, revision level, quantity and condition
• Basic computer literacy, including experience with inventory/stock management systems
• Physically capable of manual handling, lifting and repetitive picking tasks
• Reliable, organised and able to manage competing priorities, balancing production schedules against urgent dealer requests
• Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with production, dealers and suppliers
• Methodical and systematic, with a proactive approach to flagging issues and suggesting improvements
• A forklift and/or pallet truck licence, experience with automotive or EV components, and familiarity with ERP/inventory systems are advantageous
