Autosmart Canberra is seeking a reliable Storeperson to join our team in Canberra. The role involves receiving, checking and processing incoming goods, preparing customer orders, and coordinating with drivers and internal teams.

You will work in a busy warehouse environment and perform tasks with accuracy and focus. A forklift licence is advantageous; candidates must be physically able to lift up to 40kg and be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and process incoming goods.
• Mixing, decanting and labelling of various chemical products.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (where licensed).
• Maintain stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and assist with inventory control.
• Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Ensure warehouse areas are clean, safe, and compliant with WHS requirements.
• Use warehouse systems for data entry, stock movement, and documentation.
• Assist with dispatch, freight coordination, and load management.
• Identify and report stock discrepancies or operational issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Customer service is a requirement of the role including deliveries from time to time.

As a Storeperson, you will perform a wide range of warehousing duties requiring sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate workflow with minimal supervision.

A forklift licence will be considered advantageous for this role.

This position requires the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily warehouse operations.

Employees must be able to lift up to 40kg as part of their regular duties.

Training will be provided on warehouse management systems for successful candidates.
