Job summary

The Pump House on the Sunshine Coast is hiring a Retail and Dispatch Storeperson for our Beerwah branch. You’ll be the face of the business, helping customers find the right product, processing sales at the POS, and assisting with dispatch and stock.

Training is provided and you’ll work as part of a friendly, customer-focused team. We offer extensive training opportunities, a supportive culture, and clear career progression within a long‑standing regional business.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and dispatch is preferred.
• Forklift and driving licences are preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work across shop floor and dispatch areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional service in-store and over the phone.
• Process sales quickly and accurately through our POS system – training provided.
• Offer product advice and solutions – training provided.
• Provide leads to our project sales teams from customer enquiries.
• Process and dispatch deliveries and stock.
• Work across both the shop floor and dispatch area, maintaining a clean and safe environment.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Retail and Dispatch Storeperson to join our growing team at our Beerwah branch on the Sunshine Coast.

As the face of The Pump House, you’ll be the first person our customers see when they walk through the door (or give us a call!). From helping them find the right product, to keeping our store looking fresh and welcoming, no two days are ever the same.

About The Pump House:

With 39 years of expertise, 70+ skilled staff and branches across Nambour, Gympie, Beerwah, Maryborough and Chinchilla, The Pump House is a trusted local leader in the pumping and irrigation space.

You Will:

• Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional service in-store and over the phone
• Process sales quickly and accurately through our POS system – training provided
• Offer product advice and solutions – training provided
• Provide leads to our project sales teams from customer enquiries
• Process and dispatch deliveries and stock
• Work across both the shop floor and dispatch area, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Work as part of a tight-knit, reliable and supportive team

About You:

• Related industry knowledge or trade qualification highly regarded (plumbing, mechanical, electrical etc.)
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a tight-knit team
• Driver’s licence and forklift licence (preferred)
• Versatility to work across both retail and dispatch areas
• Customer-focused approach with strong communication skills
