Job summary

Scope Doors and Windows is seeking a dedicated Storeperson in Toowoomba to manage material flow from dock to floor. You will receive deliveries, allocate components to jobs, and maintain accurate stock records while keeping the warehouse safe and well-organised.

The role requires forklift experience, a valid driver’s licence, and strong attention to detail. A team-focused attitude and good communication are essential for success in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a storeperson or in warehousing/distribution is preferred.
• LF Forklift Licence is required (or willingness to obtain one).
• Current Driver's Licence is required.
• Basic computer literacy to update inventory records.
• Good physical fitness due to manual handling.
• Reliable, team-first attitude and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading deliveries, checking items against orders and delivery dockets.
• Pick, pack and allocate materials to factory jobs and site orders.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and flag low-stock items.
• Conduct regular stocktakes to ensure stock records match physical inventory.
• Keep store area clean, labelled and organised.
• Liaise with suppliers and freight drivers regarding deliveries and backorders.

About the Role

As our Storeperson, you will be the backbone of our daily material flow. From the moment deliveries hit the dock to the time components are allocated to specific jobs on the floor, you will ensure everything is accounted for, stored safely, and ready when the team needs it.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving & Unloading: Safely unload incoming deliveries (extrusions, hardware, glass, and components), checking off items against purchase orders and delivery dockets for accuracy and quality.
• Material Allocation: Pick, pack, and allocate materials and hardware to specific factory jobs and site orders accurately and on schedule.
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate tracking of all stocked materials, monitor stock levels, and flag low-stock items to prevent production delays.
• Stocktakes: Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic stocktakes to ensure physical stock matches system records.
• Store Organisation: Keep the store room, racks, and receiving areas clean, clearly labelled, hazard-free, and well-organised.
• Supplier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers and freight drivers regarding deliveries, backorders, or damaged goods.

About You

We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping an organised workspace, enjoys hands-on work, and has a sharp eye for detail.

What you'll bring to the team

• Previous experience in a storeperson, warehousing, or trade distribution role (experience in the windows, doors, building supplies, or manufacturing industry is highly regarded).
• Current LF Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain one).
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when reading job sheets, part numbers, and delivery dockets.
• Basic computer literacy for updating inventory records and tracking stock.
• Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and moving long-length materials safely.
• A reliable, team-first attitude with strong communication skills.
