Job summary

Richmond Oysters is seeking a hands-on warehouse operator in Victoria to receive, store and prepare stock for dispatch within a chill/cold storage area. You will help move products efficiently to keep orders arriving fresh and on time.

You will work early mornings six days per week, starting at 3:00am, handling FIFO stock rotation, loading/unloading, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, cold storage or food distribution is preferred
• Comfortable working in chillers and cold conditions
• Must be able to start at 3:00am for six days per week
• Forklift licence is highly regarded

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing incoming stock in chiller and cold storage areas


• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch


• Stock rotation (FIFO) and maintaining accurate stock records


• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles


• Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and food safety standards in chiller areas


• General warehouse duties as required

About you

• Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage or food distribution environment (highly regarded but not essential)


• Comfortable working in chiller/cold temperature conditions


• Forklift licence (highly regarded)


• Reliable, punctual and able to consistently commit to early 3:00am starts, 6 days per week


• Own reliable transport (given the early start time)


• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks


• A good understanding of, or willingness to learn, basic food safety practices
