Specsavers Merrylands is seeking an experienced Store Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations and drive excellent customer service in Merrylands NSW 2160. You’ll report to the Store Manager and guide the team during shifts, ensuring policies are followed and sales targets are met.

Store Supervisor - Specsavers Merrylands

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Supervisor to join the team at Specsavers Merrylands. This is a full-time position based in Merrylands NSW 2160. As Store Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our store, maintaining high standards of customer service, and supporting both our team and customers. You will report directly to the Store Manager and be responsible for leading our team during your shifts, implementing company policies and procedures, and driving sales performance whilst maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support team members on shift, ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times
• Assist with the training, development and performance management of staff members
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, including receiving and organising stock
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health and safety regulations
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction
• Contribute to achieving store sales targets and promoting Specsavers products and services
• Maintain the store environment, including till reconciliation, security procedures and opening and closing duties
• Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining a clean, organised store layout
• Support the Store Manager with administrative duties and store reporting requirements
• Identify and elevate issues or concerns to Store Manager when necessary

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail supervisory or team lead role, ideally within the optical, healthcare or customer-focused retail environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage and develop team members effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with a customer-first approach
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with retail systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
• Knowledge of stock management and inventory control practices
• Flexible approach to shift work, including evenings and weekends as required
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and initiative
• Commitment to health and safety standards and company policies
• Prior experience in the optical industry or Specsavers is highly desirable but not essential
