Job summary

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a retail merchandiser to support new store setups, relays, relocations and expansion projects across the group. You will report to the Store Setup & Support Manager and help ensure activities meet timelines and standards, while delivering consistent merchandising standards.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements with a mix of Preston Office days and home-based tasks, travel interstate when required, and opportunities to contribute to category merchandising

Qualifications

  • Merchandising/retail experience preferred.
  • Experience with planograms is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word); driver’s license required.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup of new stores by open date.
  • Assist with relays & expansions of existing stores.
  • Assist with relocations of existing stores.
  • Implement Planograms at new store setups/relays.
  • Implement Chemist Warehouse approved Merchandising at new store setups/relays.
  • Assist with the preparation of merchandising materials for new store setups/relays.
  • Assist with the development & testing of new Merchandising strategies for the Chemist Warehouse.
  • Assist store staff with Planogramming & Merchandising according to the My Chemist Retail Group guidelines.

About the team

The Store Operations & Support (SOS) Department ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of all stores. It supports store teams by coordinating operational procedures, resolving issues, monitoring performance, managing resources, and maintaining company standards. The department acts as a key link between stores and head office, helping deliver consistent service, compliance, productivity, and excellent customer experience.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to support the successful delivery of new store setups, store relays, relocations, and expansion projects across the group. Reporting directly to the Store Setup & Support Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring all project activities are completed efficiently, accurately, and in line with business requirements, timelines, and operational standards.

Role responsibilities
  • Assist with the setup of new stores by open date
  • Assist with relays & expansions of existing stores
  • Assist with relocations of existing stores
  • Implement Planograms at new store setups/relays
  • Implement Chemist Warehouse approved Merchandising at new store setups/relays
  • Assist with the preparation of merchandising materials for new store setups/relays
  • Assist with the development & testing of new Merchandising strategies for the Chemist Warehouse
  • Assist store staff with Planogramming & Merchandising according to the My Chemist Retail Group guidelines
Who are we looking for?
  • Previous merchandising and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Experience with planograms is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.Current driver's licence required.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and work flexible hours when required.
