Job summary

G. James is seeking a Store Person Assistant at our Hervey Bay Windows & Doors operation to support warehousing, loading, unloading, and stock control in a busy manufacturing environment.

You will lift up to 20kg, assist with deliveries, and help keep the shed tidy and safe while learning our processes and developing practical skills for a long-term career with an established Australian leader in glass and aluminium.

Qualifications

• Previous warehousing experience (highly regarded).
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg.
• Enthusiastic and willing to take on new tasks.
• Hold a current driver’s license and have reliable transport for commuting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manual loading/unloading of trucks.
• Support general warehousing tasks, including receiving, unwrapping materials, storing, picking and packing.
• Unload/load glass a-frames and help distribute to relevant sections in the shed.
• Maintain organisation of stock and assist with basic inventory checks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and conduct basic equipment pre-start checks.

Our Hervey Bay Windows & Doors branch provides sales, fabrication and installation of aluminium windows and doors to the residential and commercial construction markets. Products including shower screens, wardrobe doors and external screens such as Fly, Barrier and Crimsafe. We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Person Assistant to join our close-knit, successful team.

The Role

The position is diverse and involves a variety of duties across the facility, including:

• Assist with manual loading/unloading of trucks.
