Job summary

Central Tablelands Water seeks an experienced Store Person and Operator to manage stores, inventory and procurement while supporting water distribution and quality operations. This full-time Grade 2 role combines stores duties with hands-on network support.

Key tasks include receiving, stock control, stocktakes and deliveries, plus assisting with water network maintenance, meters and water testing. A Class C Driver’s licence and safety tickets are required; forklift experience is valued.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in stores, warehousing or inventory control.
• Experience operating plant and equipment safely.
• Capacity to undertake manual handling and physically demanding work.

Job description

Are you experienced in stores or inventory control and ready for a varied role that also supports essential water operations?

The Store Person and Operator is responsible for procuring, receiving, distributing, recording and maintaining store materials, while also supporting the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of CTW water distribution and water quality infrastructure. The Store Person and Operator undertakes duties individually or as part of a team in accordance with CTW policies, procedures and WHS requirements.

This varied full-time Grade 2 position combines responsibility for CTW’s stores, inventory and procurement activities with hands‑on support for water network and water quality operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving, inspecting, storing and distributing materials, equipment and supplies.
• Maintaining accurate inventory, purchasing and stock movement records.
• Monitoring stock levels, completing stocktakes and coordinating deliveries.
• Assisting with water network maintenance, installation, meter reading and operational monitoring.
• Assisting with water filtration facilities, water testing and related maintenance.
• Safely operating plant, equipment, tools and vehicles.
• Participating in the after-hours on-call roster.

The successful applicant will have at least five years’ experience in stores, warehousing, inventory control or a related operational environment, experience operating plant and equipment safely, basic computer skills, the capacity to undertake manual handling and physically demanding work, and a Class C Driver’s licence with a safe driving record.

A White Card, water operations experience, a Forklift Licence, relevant plant operator tickets, and Confined Space or Working at Heights certifications will be well regarded.

• A salary range of $63,807.67 to $76,696.54 per year (including super)
• On Call under a roster system, with an allowance.
