Universal Store is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to step into a Store Manager role at Stockland Wetherill Park. You will lead a dynamic team, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while managing store operations and profitability.

The successful candidate will oversee rostering, budgets, and visual standards on a Tuesday–Saturday roster, with opportunities for further leadership growth within the business.

The successful candidate will work a Tuesday–Saturday roster, including late‑night trade.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day store operations with a strong and visible floor presence

• Deliver outstanding customer experiences in line with Universal Store service standards
• Drive sales performance and store profitability through strong cost and productivity management
• Manage rostering, budgets, and scheduling to achieve business and payroll targets
• Maintain visual merchandising, presentation standards, and overall store efficiency
• Recruit, train, and support team members through clear, honest, and constructive feedback
• Uphold and role‑model Universal Store’s values, culture, and brand expectations

Skills and Experience

• Strong retail background with hands‑on experience across both shop floor and stockroom
• Proven experience as a Store Manager, leading medium to large teams
• A warm, energetic communicator who leads with positivity and purpose
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment
• High attention to detail with a strong understanding of retail profitability
• Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Confident in delivering feedback and communicating effectively at all levels
