Job summary

Universal Store in NSW is seeking a passionate Store Manager to lead from the front, foster a vibrant store culture, and create standout customer experiences in a fast-paced youth fashion environment. You will manage a Tuesday-Saturday roster, coach a diverse team, drive sales and store profitability, and ensure visual merchandising and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong retail background with hands-on experience across shop floor and stockroom.
• Proven experience as a Store Manager, leading medium to large teams.
• Warm, energetic communicator who leads with positivity and purpose.
• Able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• High attention to detail with a strong understanding of retail profitability.
• Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Confident in delivering feedback and communicating effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day store operations with a strong and visible floor presence
• Inspire, coach, and develop a large, diverse team to build future leaders
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences in line with Universal Store service standards
• Drive sales performance and store profitability through strong cost and productivity management
• Manage rostering, budgets, and scheduling to achieve business and payroll targets
• Maintain visual merchandising, presentation standards, and overall store efficiency
• Recruit, train, and support team members through clear, honest, and constructive feedback
• Uphold and role-model Universal Store’s values, culture, and brand expectations
