Job summary

CSR Gyprock Trade Centre Store Manager in Port Macquarie is a full-time role based at our new Port Macquarie, NSW Trade Centre, reporting to the Area Manager. You will oversee safety, staff development and store operations while delivering excellent customer service to trades and retail customers.

Based at the Port Macquarie Trade Centre, you will lead a team, drive sales through effective campaigns, manage the store's financials, and build strong trade relationships.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience in retail or similar customer-focused environment.
  • Forklift and MR licence desirable or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport regulations.
  • Experience supervising a team.
  • Retail or trade background preferred.

About The Role

The Gyprock Trade Centre Store Manager is a full-time position based at our new Port Macquarie, NSW Trade Centre, reporting to the Area Manager. We are seeking a candidate with proven supervisory experience, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent communication and computer skills. A current forklift and MR licence or willingness to obtain one is desirable. Previous management experience within a retail store, or similar customer-focused environment is highly regarded.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, between 6:30am and 3:00pm.

In This Role, Duties Involve
  • Safety: Champion safety compliance and ensure the wellbeing of the team, customers, and the public. Conduct regular store and warehouse safety audits to maintain a safe operating environment.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise employees to ensure they deliver excellent customer service, understand the products and perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Sales and Marketing: Oversee and drive sales activities through creative problem solving to attract & retain customers, promote the store and its products and support collaborative marketing campaigns. Use analytical tools to make informed business decisions.
  • Financial Management: Monitor the store's P&L performance and make decisions to improve profitability.
About You
  • You take pride in providing excellent customer service, championing brand initiatives, and creating an inclusive and engaging store environment.
  • Confident in using retail systems and have a solutions-focused sales approach.
  • A forklift and MR licence are highly regarded, or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Ideally have a retail or trade background.
  • Proven experience supervising a team.
  • Understand Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport regulations.
  • Take a hands-on approach by assisting with the manual preparation of job lots and deliveries to customer sites as required, ensuring operational and customer service expectations are met.
  • You enjoy building strong relationships with trade and retail customers to encourage repeat business and advocacy.
