About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Store Manager to lead a trade and industrial supply operation in the South Brisbane area.

This is an opportunity to join a well‑established, market‑leading business with a strong customer base across the trade and industrial sectors. You will take ownership of store performance, lead from the front and build a team focused on sales growth, operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable driving their own sales, managing day‑to‑day operations and developing a team that consistently delivers results.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Relationships

• Drive individual and store sales targets, KPIs and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade and industrial customers.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and attract new business.
• Review sales reports, identify trends and implement strategies to improve results.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and product knowledge.

People Leadership & Performance

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Set clear expectations around sales, accountability, attendance and customer service.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching and development conversations.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding and training where required.
• Build a positive, accountable and results-driven team culture.

Store Operations & Compliance

• Take ownership of daily store operations and overall presentation.
• Maintain strong standards across merchandising, stock control and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.
• Oversee security, banking, reporting and end‑of‑day procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance and profitability.

About You You are a hands‑on leader who understands that successful store management requires a combination of sales capability, operational discipline and strong people leadership.
You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or 2IC.
• Experience in trade, industrial supply, hardware, automotive, tools or a similar retail environment.
• A proven ability to achieve sales targets and improve store performance.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence interpreting sales data.
• The ability to coach, develop and hold team members accountable.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and operational improvement.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends where required.
