Job summary

DCSD Group Pty ltd is seeking a Retail Store Manager in Adelaide to oversee daily operations, lead the retail team and drive sales while delivering excellent customer service.

You will manage rosters, set targets, monitor KPIs, handle stock, POS and cash procedures, and ensure compliance with policies. This is a full-time, ongoing role supporting career development.

Qualifications

Job description

As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the store. You will lead and supervise the retail team, manage daily store operations, drive sales performance, maintain high customer service standards and ensure the store operates efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store.

Leading, supervising, coaching and motivating retail staff to achieve individual and store objectives.

Preparing staff rosters, allocating duties and monitoring employee performance.

Setting, monitoring and achieving sales targets, revenue goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Developing and implementing strategies to improve sales and overall store performance.

Maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Handling and resolving escalated customer enquiries and complaints professionally.

Ensuring staff maintain appropriate knowledge of products, services and promotional offers.

Managing stock levels, inventory control, stock ordering and stock movements.

Monitoring cash handling, point-of-sale operations and daily reconciliation procedures.

About you

A Diploma in Management, Business, Retail Management or a closely related field.

Demonstrated experience managing the day-to-day operations of a retail store.

Proven leadership and staff management experience.

Experience working with sales targets, KPIs and store performance objectives.

Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Experience with stock control, inventory management and ordering processes.

Understanding of POS systems, cash handling and retail compliance procedures.

Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and extended trading hours where required.
