Job summary

Kinexus and a National Intelligence Agency are seeking an experienced Storage Systems Administrator to support and advise on the client’s storage, backup and disaster recovery environment in Canberra. The assignment is an initial 12-month contract with two 12-month extensions, based on-site in Canberra (ACT).

A TSPV/TSPA clearance is required and there is no opportunity to upgrade the clearance. Key duties include installation, configuration, patching, upgrade and testing of ICT infrastructure,

Qualifications

• Storage, backup and disaster recovery experience
• Experience with storage hardware and software in enterprise environments
• Familiarity with data protection tooling and DR testing processes

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advice on the customer’s storage, backup and disaster recovery environment
• Assist in installation, configuration, patching, upgrade and testing of ICT infrastructure including virtualization and enterprise applications
• Provide quality assurance for projects related to technical solution design and documentation
• Liaise with the business on new capabilities and requirements
• Undertake BAU activities as directed
• Provide skills transfer to technical staff as specified by the Customer
• Deliver other required outputs within agreed timeframes

Kinexus has partnered with a National Intelligence Agency in sourcing an experienced Storage Systems Administrator to provide support and advice on the client's storage, backup and disaster recovery environment.

On offer is an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions. This role will be based on-site in Canberra (ACT), and does not offer the opportunity for candidates to upgrade their clearance - a TSPV/TSPA clearance is an essential requirement.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Provide support and advice on the Customers' storage, backup and disaster recovery environment
• Assist in the execution of plans for installation, configuration, patching upgrade and testing of ICT infrastructure including operating systems, virtualisation platforms and enterprise applications
• Provide a quality assurance role to projects in relation to technical solution design and documentation
• Liaise with the business in consideration of new capabilities
• Undertake BAU activities as required and directed
• Provide skills transfer to all technical staff as specified by the Customer
• Provide other deliverables in the form and manner, and within the timeframes, specified by the Customer.

Technical experience:

• Dell platform experience highly regarded (including Isilon, PowerScale and Object Store)
• Commvault product experience well-regarded
