Job summary

A global technology leader is seeking a Storage Optimisation Team Leader for their EO Depot in Myambat. OUR TEAM

Our Explosive Ordnance Services team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for growth. Within our logistics services business there are 17+ depots throughout Australia, allowing various development and progression opportunities.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Storage Optimisation Team Leader to join our team at the EO Depot in Myambat. In this role, you will oversee a multi-skilled warehousing team and drive the efficient storage, movement, and distribution of Explosive Ordnance (EO), ensuring ongoing optimisation of depot resources in line with safety, compliance, and Defence requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that supports essential operations for the Australian Defence Force. Located at our Myambat site, on Wanaruah and Kamilaroi land, your role will be –

  • Coordinating storage and movement of EO stock, using data-driven tools to prioritise workflows
  • Supervising and mentoring a skilled warehousing team, supporting performance management and training Managing inventory records and contributing to stocktake and reconciliation activities
  • Overseeing loading/unloading operations, vehicle and equipment use, and facility inspections
  • Fostering a culture of continual improvement, operational optimisation, and collaboration across EO Services
Your Experience
  • Certificate IV in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in small teams
  • Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management systems
  • Experience within the defence and/or storage environment would be highly advantageous
