Job summary

Thales Australia invites applications from reliable team players to join our munitions manufacturing environment in Benalla or Mulwala. You will be collecting waste material, feeding it into the waste burning system, and helping ensure safety and environmental compliance.

This role requires good problem‑solving, clear communication, and the ability to work in a small team, with pre‑employment checks and ongoing training opportunities. Prior experience is not essential, as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Keen to build on your skills and willingness to learn
• Sound problem-solving skills
• Good communication – capable of working in a small tight knit team
• Sound understanding of documentation, and operating procedures
• Good computer proficiency for operation of computer-controlled plant

• Picking up of waste material from different sections and prepare waste to be burned
• Feeding of cups of waste into the waste burning system
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance is met
• Input into troubleshooting of plant issues as required
• Work in a team environment

Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems.
