Job summary

Accor Group in Melbourne is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead, coach and support our Stewarding team within a luxury hotel environment. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to uphold the highest standards of hygiene, safety and efficiency across all kitchen and food preparation areas.

This hands-on role requires a natural leader who thrives under pressure, ensures proper equipment maintenance, drives cost awareness and mentors staff through training and on-shift guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading stewarding or kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day to day stewarding operation, ensuring exceptional hygiene, cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen and food preparation areas
• Ensure outlets are consistently supplied with clean, sanitised and well maintained operational equipment
• Champion food safety, chemical safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards at all times
• Drive cost awareness through efficient use of energy, water, cleaning materials and equipment
• Ensure crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment are stored safely and hygienically
• Support the induction, training and ongoing development of Stewarding team members
• Provide clear direction, coaching and on shift guidance to support performance and confidence
• Motivate the team, monitor productivity and foster a positive, respectful and professional working environment
