Canberra Health Services invites applications for the Sterilising Services Technical Officer Level 2 to join the Infrastructure and Health Support Services Division in Canberra. The role focuses on reprocessing, maintaining and managing reusable medical devices to meet stringent safety standards.

Applicants will contribute to patient care by supporting fast-paced operations across multiple sites, under a rotating 24/7 roster and with access to onsite facilities and staff support services.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess, clean, disinfect and sterilise specialised medical devices to High Quality and Safety standards.
• Support procurement, repairs and maintenance of medical instruments across locations.
• Work as part of a rotating 24-hour, 7-day roster ensuring clinical service continuity.

The team is responsible for the cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of specialised medical equipment, ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety standards while supporting clinical services across a broad range of healthcare settings. In addition to instrument reprocessing, the service coordinates equipment procurement, repairs and ongoing maintenance to ensure healthcare professionals have access to safe, reliable and fit-for-purpose medical instruments.As a member of the Sterilising Services team, you will play an important role in supporting patient care by contributing to the efficient operation of a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, attention to detail and customer service while participating in a rotating 24-hour, 7-day roster and providing support across multiple service locations.
